Thomas G. Harris Elementary School, nestled in a quiet community of Northeast Austin bordered by Highway 290 and 51st Street, was built in 1954. Harris is a feeder school to either Bertha Sadler Means Young Women's Leadership Academy, Gus Garcia Young Men's Leadership Academy, Webb Middle School, or the new Marshall Middle School and to Northeast High School or Lyndon B. Johnson High Schools. Harris serves approximately 380 students in Early Childhood through fifth grade and offers enrichment classes through the Andy Roddick Foundation program.
