Dual Language—The Best of Both Worlds

Dual language helps students excel academically while becoming bilingual, biliterate and bicultural. The program is committed to educating students in a multicultural learning environment and encouraging learners to celebrate diversity and becoe responsible citizens of the world.

Dual-language students participate in a rigorous academic program that follows the AISD academic standards and curriculum.

At Harris Elementary, we offer both the one-way and two-way dual-language programs in Spanish. The one-way program is designed for native Spanish speakers. The two-way program is designed for native Spanish speakers and native English speakers.

Although Harris has offered the one-way program for many years, we now offer the two-way dual language program at the Pre-K- 3rd grade level this year!
